What we will do together

Together, we'll explore and apply effective, embodied tools to help you:

  • Heal from trauma, reclaiming your sense of self and purpose.
  • Regulate your nervous system, reducing overwhelm and promoting calm.
  • Expand your capacity to navigate stress, making life feel more manageable.
  • Reshape maladaptive patterns, optimizing your vital energy.
  • Establish healthy boundaries for enhanced empowerment and freedom.
  • Discover new pathways of expansion, enjoyment, and liberation.

What we can address

This trauma-focused work may be suitable if you experience:

  • Anxiety, persistent overwhelm, or feeling perpetually stuck.
  • Enduring effects of childhood abuse, neglect, or relational trauma.
  • Ongoing impacts from accidents, injuries, or challenging medical procedures.
  • Experiences of oppression, war trauma, or if you are a refugee.
  • Feelings of being disconnected, unreal, ungrounded, or profoundly alone.
  • Chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines, or mysterious chronic health issues where conventional approaches have been limited.

What to Expect

In our collaborative sessions, whether in my Echo Park, Los Angeles office or online, we will:

  • Identify stuck patterns in your nervous system and body.
  • Explore past experiences that felt "too much, too big, too fast, or too soon."
  • Break down these overwhelming experiences into manageable segments.
  • Add time, space, and support to process these pieces, facilitating integration.
  • Metabolize stored traumatic energy, liberating your nervous system to embrace new experiences and build resilience.

I'll provide practical, embodied tools for you to practice, both during sessions and independently.

Over time, you can anticipate significant shifts, including:

  • An increased sense of internal safety and security.
  • Reduced triggers from past events or memories.
  • Less physical pain and greater overall ease.
  • Enhanced capacity to navigate difficult situations with calm.
  • Increased pleasure, joy, and fulfillment.
  • Decreased anxiety and a greater sense of peaceful presence.

Sessions in-person or online

Your sessions can take place in person at my Echo Park office or conveniently online from anywhere.

In-person work may incorporate light touch bodywork and Craniosacral Therapy (CST), beneficial for deep nervous system regulation, or we may use touch work to integrate pre-verbal traumas or medical trauma. All work is conducted with you fully clothed.

Somatic therapy sessions can also focus on verbal processing without touch work, tracking body sensations, thoughts, memories, images, or subtle impulses. We will collaboratively assess the best tools and approaches, honoring your unique needs.

I've witnessed significant changes with clients both at a distance and in person. Choose the setting that best supports your healing journey.

About Jaye

My path to this work is informed by personal experience. Having navigated the complexities of childhood trauma, including the loss of my mother at age 12, I understand the challenges of feeling stuck—the belief that change is impossible, that issues are too profound to resolve. Through the transformative work of Somatic Experiencing, I discovered a significant capacity to engage with emotions and memories that were once overwhelming. This work immensely changed my life for the better, and I am honored to share my skills to create change in your life.

As a white, queer person of Jewish ancestry with a genderqueer ethos (using any pronoun), I am committed to providing a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for every individual.

I am especially interested in working with survivors of childhood abuse, neglect, and developmental trauma, therapists and other helping professionals, Somatic Experiencing students and practitioners, LGBTQI++ individuals seeking affirming care, those navigating chronic stress, MS, autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, IBS, or mysterious chronic health issues where conventional approaches have been limited.

Let's work together

First of all, thank yourself for getting this far. You're willing to do the work to change your life.

Somatic therapy is a good fit for you if...

  • You're ready for real change. You have a growth mindset and are willing to put in the effort, learning, and persistence needed for lasting results.
  • You want to connect with your body. You’re ready to move beyond just analyzing your thoughts and are curious about what your body has to say.
  • You have a stable foundation. You have a baseline of mental health and have the support of other professionals or medication if needed.

This may not be the right time for this work if...

  • You’re looking for a quick fix. This work is a sustained process, not a magic pill. It requires consistent effort and a commitment over time.
  • You are currently in crisis. This is not a crisis-response service. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support if you are experiencing severe mental health issues that significantly impact your day-to-day life.
  • You don’t truly want to change. This work requires a genuine desire to explore new possibilities and move forward.

Committing to your nervous system transformation and trauma recovery is an investment in your well-being. Consistent engagement with this process over time yields profound and lasting results. I encourage you to invest in your lasting change with your time, dedicated attention, and resources.

All sessions are one hour in duration.

Initial Session for All:
$150/one-hour session. This foundational session allows us to connect and assess how my offerings align with your needs. Go ahead and schedule if you are ready, no need for prior approval.

If you are ready to embrace substantial change, I invite you to make a six-month commitment to yourself after our initial session. I believe it is possible to experience significant change within six months of dedicated work.

Six-Month, Weekly Commitment:
$150/one-hour session, billed incrementally or all at once. This commitment is designed for deep, sustained trauma healing, nervous system resilience, and significant personal growth.

Six-Month, Every-Other Week Commitment:
$165/ one hour session, billed incrementally or all at once. This commitment is designed for deep, sustained trauma healing with more time for integration between sessions.

For many, continued support is valuable and necessary for addressing deeper layers of experience. After the initial six months, you have the option to renew your six-month commitment at your same rate indefinitely – I will honor the rate you began with as we continue our work, even as rates may adjust for new clients over time. Real, lasting, and integrated change develops with consistent commitment over time.

I recognize that this level of commitment may not be feasible for all, or you may prefer sporadic sessions after an initial period of dedicated work. Therefore, I also offer flexible one-off sessions to accommodate various needs.

One-Off Session (Scheduled at Your Will):
$180/one-hour session. Ideal for returning clients seeking a tune-up or for those whose current circumstances are best met by sporadic sessions.

Reduced Rate Clients: I offer limited space for reduced-rate clients who require financial assistance. Please inquire about availability. My goal is to make trauma healing accessible.

What clients are saying

Jaye has taught me so much about how my nervous system functions and has nurtured such a safe and trusting environment that even when feeling most vulnerable I am met with gentle and supportive guidance. Actually feeling and understanding what your body is telling you is such a game changer!
Jaye is very attentive and mindful. They create a safe space and are very good at guiding through sometimes difficult emotional terrain. I always feel safe and in capable hands when we have sessions and I feel at ease exploring things that sometimes feel uncomfortable or challenging. They have taught me how to hear my no, and find my authentic voice. They have taught me how to tap into my joy and learn to prioritize my own feelings over others. I am extremely grateful to them for their guidance. I am living more authentically in my truth in a way I never was capable of before. I feel extremely lucky and grateful have met them and to have them as a somatic practitioner.
Working with Jaye has been a truly life changing experience. As someone who has done talk therapy in the past, I have found that somatic therapy with Jaye has been the most effective way for me to move past old deep rooted patterns (around self sabotage, anxiety, lack of boundaries) and be able to approach the world from a more grounded, authentic place.
I came to Jaye feeling overwhelmed with my emotions, which had left me fearful and hopeless. Jaye has given me a comfortable space to understand the long held patterns that were limiting my life experiences. One of the aspects of working with Jaye I value most is her authenticity, especially when she reminds me of the immense growth and progress I have made.
